About Anna

Elephant safari; Livingstone, Zambia

I’m always looking for the next adventure. I started this travel blog as a way to stay in touch with my family and friends while traveling and living abroad, but quickly found that the experiences I’ve had and stories I can tell appeal to a much wider audience as well. Read on and enjoy; the adventure always continues in all walks of life!

Nilikuta Shani has been featured on the Lonely Planet website since 2009.

Where to next? Fish Hoek, Cape Town

Sunset over Victoria Falls, Zambia

The Cape of Good Hope, southernmost tip of South Africa

Westminster, from the London Eye

Llandudno Beach, Cape Town

Crossing the Tropic of Capricorn, Namibia

Iconic Deadvlei, Namibia

And yet, there's no place like home...

  1. The footprint in the sand says it all. Yours is most assuredly a positive carbon footprint on this planet!

hello, i stumbled upon your blog and might i say, south africa looks gorgeous. im actually going to study abroad at the unversity of cape town for a semester and im really nervous, anxious, excited, and all that stuff. i know cape town, from what i heard and been told, is safer than johannesburg but i definitely want to venture out of cape town and into south africa. i saw that you were in a safari, i want to do that as well. do you remember how much you paid for it and where did you go and where did you buy this safari. sorry for all these questions. but anything would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, just wish to tell your that your travel adventures are an inspiration to me. Many times in life, we are too caught up with climbing the corporate ladder, jostling for the next promotion or a higher pay rise. But I definitely concur that visiting new sights and meeting new people is the way to experience life we would never imagine. Soon, I would be stuck in the mundane life of a corporate life, however I do hope that I would accomplish something like what you did. Please continue to update your blog as it has been an awesome experience even just by reading it. Cheers !
